New EU regulations regarding Vodka

Near future will bring some changes in a matter of what can be called vodka and what cannot. As i read, the bottle sign 'vodka' will be acceptable not only in case of alcohol made from potatos or grain but the grapes as well (the only condition to it is that the grape alcohol must be distilled beforehand and that means no wine).

That idea will be a threat to the vodka tradition.
What do you think of it? This goes to the Ukrainians, people who will join EU in the future.
