Sounds like an urban legend to me. Like the guy that found a fried rat head in his box of chicken.

Subject: Avoid Panadol...

Someone was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is
planning to set up a database of its patient. And he knows some of the
doctor quite well.

The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they
are
not willing to take PANADOL (PARACETMOL). In fact, they will turn to
Chinese Herbal Medicine or find other alternatives. This is because
Panadol
is
toxic to the body, and it harms the liver.

According to the doctor, Panadol will reside in the body for at least 5
years. And according to the doctor, there used to be an incident where
an
air stewardess consumes a lot of panadol during her menstrual as she
needs
to stand all the time. She's now in her early 30's, and she needs to
wash
her kidney (DIALYSIS) every month.

As said by the doctor that whenever we have a headache, that's because
it
is due to the electron/Ion imbalance in the brain. As an alternative
solution to cope with this matter, they suggested that we buy 1 or 2
cans
of isotonic drink (eg.100PLUS), and mix it with drinking water
according to
a
ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (simply, it means one cup 100 plus, one cup water
or
2 cups water). Me and my husband have tried this on several occasions,
and
it seems to work well. Another method will be to submerge your feet in
a
basin of warm water so that it bring the blood pressure down from your
throbbing
head. As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the
lesser
would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain).

We all will fall ill as we aged, for woman, we would need to go through
childbirth. Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a
substantial amount of Panadol (pain killer) when you need to have a
surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general
anesthetic
to
numb your surgical pain than the average person who seldom or rarely
takes
Panadol. If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life
(migraine, menstrual cramps) it is very likely that normal general
anesthetic will have no effects on you as your body is pumped full with
panadol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a
much
stronger pain killer, Morphine????

The thought is scary enough to turn me to Chinese Herbal Medicine or
other
healthier alternative.

Value your health, value your life, THINK before you easily pop that
familiar pill into your mouth again.

Please send this to people you care about.

I did a little research on that macdonalds needle story and came up with 3 links that point to the story being fabricated

2 points.

1. Ball pits. Hoax or not, ball pits (and the whole climbing/sliding apparatus for that matter) can be dirty. Little kids pee. Seen it happen many times when my own kids were playing in the structures. And it was usually my wife or myself who had to go tell a worker about the 'accident' - almost never the parent of the poor, wet kid. The climbing structure can be cleaned easy enough, but not the balls obviously. In our city, McDonalds has actually removed the ball pits from its play areas and replaced them with more 'cleanable' activities.

2. I'm a pharmacist. This is my territory. Panadol (Tylenol in US and Canada) can cause liver damage when used inappropriately over a long period of time (beyond 4000 mg daily using it chronically). The problem is that people can buy this medication off the shelf. People think that if a medication is not prescription it is very safe - and that is true, if dosing guidelines are followed, and if done in consultation with your doctor (especially if using for a prolonged period, or if you have comorbid conditions). So, thinking the medication is safe, people go overboard. Same story with vitamins and herbal medications; usually safe in proper doses in the right individual - detrimental in excessive doses or in people with certain conditions/prescription medications (ie echinacae used for cold symptoms will exacerbate rheumatoid arthritis, starting gingko biloda while on warfarin or other anticoagulent/antiplatelet therapy increases chance of internal bleeds). Chinese natural medicines / ayurvedic (tradaitional Indian) medicines are sworn by, by millions of users. Is it right for all of them? No. Is it harmful to all of them? No. Like any other substance put into the body, excessive amounts are detrimental. Side note: The ayurvedic and chinese medicines are often manufactured in 'home made' labs - using lead cauldrons, etc - leading to higher than acceptable levels of heavy metal contamination. Buyer beware.

This is worrying,
people are concerned aboud kids playing in the ball pits,
i would be more worried with stuffing my kids with junkfood!

McDonald and KFC are responsible for thousands of people getting sick and killed by wrong nutrition every year!
