People in villages usually eat a soup (similar to kulish).

Usually it's semolina, omelett or fried (or boiled) eggs, boiled sausages. Tea, of course. Many times it can be pancakes or pancakes with fililng (jam, potatoes, etc.) We eat BIG breakfast. I personally enjoy a couple of toasts or serial with jogurt. But it's not typical.

On Saturday I was in a village near Uman' (the Cherkasy region). For a breakfast it was a very rich chicken soup with buckwheat groats.
Then sweet roll, butter, cheese, tea or coffee.
