I just ate the most delicious Vitaminli,
NUH'UN, ankara MAKARNASI. It's a kind of pinched in-the-middle macaroni. Even in the next day's soup the pasta retains its delicious texture. I'm thinking the wheat is from Ukraine (?). But the finished product is from Turkey. At a local foreign food shop in Chiba, Japan it sells for 98 yen or about 80 cents American. The bag is 500 g. Ingredients: Durum, wheat, semolina. Nutritional value for 100g of uncooked pasta: Energy: 373.7 kcal Protein: 10.5 g Carbohydrate: 78.3 g Fat: 1.2 g Vitamin values (mg/100g): Tiyamin (B1): 0.81 Riboflavin (B2): 0.40 Niasin: 7.22 Iron: 3.20 To connect to the company in Ankara, Turkey: Tel: (+90-312) 267 - 15 - 20 Fax: (+90-312) 267 - 10 - 69 e-mail: nuh@nuh.com.tr. Web: http://www.nuh.com.tr. I tried to call the company and ask them a question. But their English was so-so. I'm still waiting for an e-mail reply. My question is: Does the WHEAT come from UKRAINE ??? There is such a B-I-G market for this kind of product in Japan. I'm sure some Ukrainian company could produce it with even better quality and price. But I must admit the QUALITY of the Turkish pasta is very good. It must be the wheat...
