Question

My father was crazy and used to make this cuccumber preserve along with some very cheerished cherries drinks.
So he would eat cuccumbers with honey honey from our own hives we had.

Like to know if anyone is willing to share the secrets os any of the above? thanks

Thumbs up

Salty (sour) cucumbers are an appetizer #1 after Horilka (vodka). Also there are preserved (canned food) cucumbers. Each family has own recipes. Such cucumbers are used as a salad in the winter.
The tomatoes are made similarly.
My grandfather had beehives, a lot of honey, he ate cucumbers with honey. It was normal for Ukrainian village.

Cool Don't get me started on this one

No matter which vegetable you preserve, add MORE MORE MORE garlik, black pepper, cayenne, and red chilly peppers
All of the above ingredients are amazing for your metabolism and immune system!
My last flu was 8 years ago and it only lasted 24 hrs

Also, don't forget to add red chilly peppers + raspberries into vodka and preserve it for 6 months, you'll have an unbelievable 24hr- cure for head cold, it's a fantastic wake-up boost to your immune system

The pickle juice itself (rassol) is also a traditional hangover remedy.

Thumbs up cucumbers again

Sometimes to drink rassol in the morning is not less pleasantly, than to drink vodka in the evening.

Such cucumbers also are used for cooking a soup rozsolnyk (rassolnik). It is a popular soup.
