Has anyone here delighted in the Ukrainian beer better known as Slavutich? I recently had the opportunity to "sample" a "few" bottles at a Ukrainian language retreat a few weekends ago.

Also, does anyone know that certain word that is said when you get a group of people together to down some horilka, and go something hey! something hey! something hey! hey! hey! hey! (then greedily down your shot of Perlova, Hetman, Slava, etc...). What is that something? I believe it starts with a "p". I, uh, seemed to have forgot. Of course, you then have to find a girl somewhere nearby and smell her hair or else you'll be one hurting unit the next day.

Anyway, I'm in University now, and I have the good fortune of being able to take Ukrainian as a credit course here. It's great fun, and I highly recommend it to any young Ukrainians out there... you won't have this much fun in any other language class.

Where was your language retreat?

If you like slavytich you should try obolon and lvivski pevo two very great Ukrainian beers.

Could someone remind me - what was the trademark of the Crimean beer? I preferred it over Slavutich and Obolonj.

Damn, such a shame all good Ukrainian restaurants are so expensive here.
