You must mean Crimean wines? I live in Canada, and there are no Crimean wines available here. I would assume you could find some in London or New York, or perhaps Toronto?
One thing about the former soviet union though, is that it once produced the third largest volume of wine in the world, yet hardly any of it was exported. Until quality gets better I would doubt this to change. Wine merchants are finicky about these things. The one region that does actively export is the Massandra region, which produced wine for the Tsars, and is home to a palace for Tsar Alexander 3rd. Here's an ugly thought- you can drink the same wine Stalin did. Also look out for Magarach. [Edited by JetSet on 15th July 2001 at 00:03] |

HUTZUL HAMMER!!
Hey y'all
I am wondering if anyone has heard of a drink called the Hutzul Hammer... it was at the Saskatoon Folkfest... which I had the misfortune of not being able to attend cus of the summer games... bah! Anyway, I have a female friend who was working at the door and was fed five of them. And she and I would like to know what is in them exactly... ![]() |
