What happened to all the posts post May 20, 2004 in Genealogy Forum? Who deleted them?
I see several of my posts throughout Ukraine.com have also been deleted. I also found this when trying to access Ukraine.com: You don't have permission to access / on this server. I had to backdoor it to gain access. None of this makes sense, but then the management here hasn't made any sense for a while now. [Edited by Hannia on 16th June 2004 at 16:33] |

Snide remarks??? You ought to take a look at yourself. The genealogy forum has been slow and quiet for sometime now. I wonder why???????? What a shame that bad attitudes have to ruin it for many. From what I can tell, Hannia asked a legit question. Whats wrong here??

Technology can make us furious from time to time
Hi millgirl, let us avoid jumping to conclusions so easily. Maybe both involved ladies are quick-tempered but the real truth is that because of PURELY TECHNICAL reasons many posts sent to the forum disappeared and it probably confused many posters. We all know that Hannia is a respectable and valuable member but some of us also know that she sometimes writes well before she uses her chance of verifying her opinions concerning given person/situation. We all can err sometimes anyway.
Respectfully Yours Zbigniew |

YOU are the one with the attitude problem. Reread Hannia's original post. Only the last line states a problem with management that has been ongoing here; which is a true statement and mentioned by others in other threads. It was not a direct attack on YOU personally. As the moderator, your answer to her was uncalled for. All this has accomplished is ruining the genealogy thread for many.

Hi millgirl...
Vbulletin Boards are sometimes prone to bugs especially when a VCI Tech has made some adjustments/upgrades to the PHP and MySQL servers which unfortunately, could sometimes lead to "loss of data" ie; disappearences of threads.
Something which we should not be held directly responsible for... To prevent future losses, i would suggest Members to save your long (But important) posts/threads using the "Print Thread" option to PDF/Word format for printing and viewing later. This matter could have been solved in a more appropriate manner if the creator of this thread had not made insinuations to the "management" in her usual "smear campaign". Hope this helps. |
