Zurichthal was in Gluckstal Colony. This genealogical group calls itself Black Sea Germans.

Research

PS>There is a fair amt of info coming available for this area. Much has been, and more getting done, by LDS.

<Zurichthal SW of Odessa 140km>

In 19th/early 20th century, 140 km SW of Odessa would have been in BESSARABIA. I did check Stumpp's village list for this area. No Zurichthal, however lots of Wagners living in the area.

Another war with Turkey brought Russia more territory, the region of BESSARABIA on the west side of the Black Sea. By 1816, over 1500 German families moved into this area, most of them from Poland.*** Migration continued with population increases coming from Baden, Wuerttemberg, Hesse, and Alsace. Further colonization took place north of the Sea of Azov, in the CRIMEA, and the CAUCASUS.

Red face Zurichthal

Did you contact Bohdan, he says there was a Zurichthal in The Crimea in the late 1800s, are you certain it was South West of Odessa & not South East over the water from Odessa.
Good Luck
