When attempting to create an account at Russia.com I had a bout of "brain-fade" and typed in an invalid e-mail address.
OK, so I send off a note to support to either have the account deleted so I can recreate it (with an e-mail adress that works) or to have the initial password sent to the correct e-mail address... simple right??? Well, I get back an e-mail saying that to delete my mail account (which I didn't sign up for - it was for the message boards) I needed to answer 4 questions: USERNAME DOMAIN PASSWORD BIRTHDATE OK, well, no problem really, I send back an e-mail specifically stating that I didn't sign up for an e-mail account... it was a message board membership... but, I did answer three out of four questions. Obviously I couldn't give a password beacuse due to the bad e-mail address I originally used I never got one (which I exlained). Should have been a no-brainer right? Well, I guess it really IS a NO-BRAINER because some NO-BRAIN responded to that e-mail with the EXACT SAME "CANNED" e-mail I got the first time around. Hello Virtual Communities... is anyone home???? - Dix |
