One measure of viability of a forum or a non-trivial thread could be the CUMULATIVE NUMBER OF HITS PER DAY. Another indicator could be obtained by occasional polling of members and guests. These are just two of many possibilities that come to mind. It would be interesting to hear comments on this or suggestions by the administration and by the participants at large. Maybe, the suggestion is superfluous, because of already existing means to measure and apply a gage?

Are the CUMULATIVE NUMBER OF THREAD VIEWS and the CUMULATIVE NUMBER OF THREAD REPLIES the main ingredients of the VITAL STATISTICS? Are there any polls conducted among the general guests? Please elaborate on the Vital Statistics. How are they compiled, used and disseminated?
