Fair and equal moderation and administration.

The downfall of any forum is a complete lack of control. The next biggest problem with forums is unequal moderation. I know I am a visitor here, as are all the other members as far as I am aware, so I ask this question hoping for an honest answer. Why is the moderation and administration of this forum unequal?

It is obvious that some things are let slide for some people, blatant advertising for example, while for others the offending parts of posts are removed.

I am well aware that there is a limit to the work that moderators are able to do as they have a life outside of Ukraine.com. However, there is a need for the rules to be applied fairly and consistently across the board and this is just not happening. I do not believe that the mods should be required to perform this function on their own instead I believe, and I know I will probably cop a reprimand of some sort for saying this, Admin needs to take a greater role in moderating Ukraine.com. It is wrong when some blatent advertising is allowed yet others are removed. It is wrong when comments from some parties are allowed, and yes I am aware of my part in this, yet others are moderated for it.

This is a small site with very few active members so it doesn't require a large moderator group. What it does require, and this is only my opinion, is an active administration group. Don't stifle topics but please certainly help the moderators apply the TOS fairly and equally.

Different people, different characters, different styles and most of all - different interpretation of the same rules. Sometime it is hard to judge if the ads are potentially helpful or if they are plain old spam. Other times, moderators don't have the time to even consider if it were a spam or a useful, yet disallowed ad. I delete more often than edit, because of time constraints.

All things considered, this site doesn't even need much moderation - it isn't active enough.

V-G and Kathy, you both know that you have my respect. My feelings are that the mods cannot be expected to do what is being asked of them when Admin is silent so much of the time. On this site Mods are volunteers, admin (as far as I am aware) isn't.

I pointed out a few rules that I can see are being pushed beyond the limit just in the few threads I take part in. Admin has started to intervene in 1. This isn't about moderation of the behaviour of adults (I know I wouldn't get involved in it either Kathy), this is about the TOS and the lack of Admin's enforcing of it.

In fact your moderation is good example, you shoud not worry about that. I saw here really imbecile moderation and users who deserve to be killed right now.

C'mon come and moderate something or this will be done by pretty brainless creatures, ha-ha-ha!

I'd like to agree with you in theory, but in practice this site likely generates enough revenue to feed a bird , as a result, you cannot expect a moderator to do more than just keep this place "live" or "on-line". VCI boards are created for many countries and there simply isn't the infrastructure in place to be run well. Which creates a catch 22 situation, because with better financing, perhaps more users would be attracted and so on..

I enjoy watching you saw off the branch you are sitting on, every time, without disappointment you fall and it cracks me up. I laugh at your expense so often Max that at time I come here just to watch you attempt to sound smart with your terrible English, talk about sense of humour.

Oh, just so we are on the same page, you wrote all that just to tell me that you don't care about my words? It seems like a lot of work for someone who doesn't "care".
