Kiev court legalized it. And so court’s decision is confirmation of the fact that widely publicized official campaign to convert some huge privately owned enterprises to state ownership is sheer populism! Ukraine officials shifted into reverse gear after getting big enough bribe from Krivorojstal owners. Well, such methods of fighting political opponents aren’t new. In Georgia it was used but Saakashvili who pretended fighting on corruption. He arrested businessmen to only let them go after smart-money going into his pocket mainly and into state treasury partially. This is Saakashvili’s merit. In Ukraine officials decided to simplify this scheme. The president and prime-minister made the bargain defining the sum at once in talks with Ahmetov and Pinchuk.

No the only thing it shows is that Ukraine has strong courts which can act opposite to the current government. Tymoshenko got her teeth into this one and there are more courts for the Kryvorizhstal'.
