Adzharia…Coup d'etat…President’s lam from the inevitable death…what for? What will it cost Adzharia? And what will Tbilisi win?
Adzharia that always lived much better than Georgia, can lose the main source of its prosperity. Port in Batumi. It means that Adzharia will complete with other Georgia in the economic development and conditions of life. If you don’t know most citizens of Georgia hunger now, nothing to say about other spheres of peoples’ life. Crises and chaos will overtake stable republic at last very soon. Because the main goods traffic from Turkey and other Black Sea countries will be transferred from Batumi (the capital of Adzharia) to Tbilisi.
Hereat Saakashvili feeds his power ambitions at last and very soon he will lose all interest for this republic and forget all his promises to support citizens of Adzharia with food and money. And also Saakashvili will not be able to do it due to the lackage of funds. The main Georgia’s sponsor - America - stopped its investments. They have big problems in Iraq that demand great investments. Saakashvili was left alone with an order to lead the country over the way of democracy on its own cost.

Political terro! It is the main slogan of Saakashvili “democratic” government. He imprisoned most of businessmen in Georgia. Now he started to arrest former Adzharia president followers. Most of them have already arrested. As witnesses say. Prisons and jails are full of former officials. All of them suffer indignity and violence. They are tortured in order to say against Abashidze or to appropriate their property and money. It is not enough to say that it is all chaos. The situation is near to monarchy of 18th century when former power followers were killed and imprisoned for life.
I don’t where is international community? Why don’t they act and protest the civil rights rough violation? OSCE, HRW and other missions must be immediately send to Adzharia to see all violence and disorder implementing by the Saakashvili band.
I know more then that. I’ve herd that Saakashvili preparing measures to prevent remedial organizations from snding to Adzharia their missions. How is he going to do it I don’t really know? But I truly call international community to stop this chaos!

To the "hit and run" posters...

Creating multiple user names from different machines just shows how cowardly you really are, let alone to brave the replies from regular, honest individuals of this forum.

Dr_Watson...

I use "they" because i simply do not wish to disrespect "their" distinctive bipolaric personality...

I think the best way is to ignore "them".
"They" are simply looking for attention.

How can’t Yankees see dictator’s ways of their dear Saakashvili?! Now he demonstrates it not only solving his home problems. We remember how he deals with his ideological enemies, whom he calls traitors of the Georgian people. Now he has the cheek to say that Secretary General of CoE is a bureaucrat, who only has a high rank with high salary, as though Mr. Schwimmer has lost ability of examining the situation objectively. And Council of Europe has no right to give Georgian President any instructions or point out the defects of his internal policy. It seems to me that America has grown up a new Saddam. Look at this fanatical dictator and hysteric, who you called the President of the democratic Georgia. It’s high time to think about whom you led to power.
