Howdy to all,

I believe that Iraq must suffer justice. Saddam Hussein

has killed thousands of his own people by poison gas. He

literally slaughtered any person who defies him. At military

meetings he has shot and killed his own officers who have

dissagreed with him, or whom he just does'nt like. He has

evil plans to attack the U.S. and Israel. He has gathered

the means to do this, to Israel at least, but lacks the

capability to hit the U.S. with longrange missles, however,

could attack it in many other ways. He has the ideals of

Adolf Hitler; to rule the entire world. And, through the

use of nuclear weapons he would like to try to do this.

he has harbored terrorists according to U.S. intelligence,

and this, as we know, according to President Bush, is

equivilent to being one. The U.S. Congress, made up of 535

trusted representatives and Senators, has given Bush the

wherewithall to attack this ruthless beast, Saddam Hussein.

It is only a matter of time before he does something worse

than the terrorist attacks of september the 11nth of 2001,

on the U.S. T o prevent this, wise Bush, has acted wisely

and patiently with Saddam Hussein, however the time is near

to where he must act with military force against Iraq. It

will obviously not comply, that is, in all truth,

surrendering it's known weapons of mass destruction.

Hussein is playing a game with President Bush, but one in

which he will end up doing himself in. These are my

thoughts regarding Iraq and Saddam Hussein. What do you

think?

Swede,

I know the world view, and it is inadequate. He must be taken out of power for the threats and dangers he poses to be eliminated, and the U.S. has proven that the "world's solution" has not and will not work. Inspectors will never find his weapons which are hidden well, so U.S. forces will have to. It is clear that Saddam is ruthless and cannot be allowed by the civilized world to continue his terror against his own people, so he must be taken out of power by the U.S.

Exclamation VikingSwede - it's OIL ...

Swede, I think you have Mr. Hussein mixed up with Mr. Bush. It is Mr. Bush who is holding the weapons of mass (ass) destruction... of every kind. It is Mr. Bush, and the American Power, who have instigated agression in many countries around the world for many many years. It is Mr. Bush who wants a war... no matter what the UN inspectors say, and no matter what all the other countries of the world may say.
I know what Saddam has done to his own people, and to the Isrealis and the people of Kuwait. I do not like this man anymore than anyone else. He is simply a 'bad ass guy' and I'd like to see a 'new regime' in Iraq. However.. the USA plan is not simply to remove Saddam. It is to control the oil fields. Did you know that American oil fields are almost dry?? Do you wonder what would happen to their power without oil?
Do you not wonder why Mr. Bush (not a moron) is attacking Iraq but not North Korea? Do you wonder which country he will interfere with next? Perhaps YOURS!
I live in Canada, and frankly, I am very afraid of what he will do to Canada if we don't 'line up' with him on this Iraq business.
Most Canadians (and most average american citizens) do NOT agree with Mr. Bush. They do NOT want a war, but are powerless to stop this ugly man. This perpetrator of World War 3.
Please educate yourself about the attrocities committed by the USA over the years in so many countries around the globe. Please educate yourself about how he even got into the presidency.. illegally!
I am proud to be a Canadian.. I am proud of the Canadian woman who spoke it out so clearly at a UN meeting..."Mr Bush is a Moron!" of course Mr. Chretien eventually had to ask her to leave her position... forced into this by ,,, guess who?

I think it is you that needs to educate yourself. I don't usually get into the bashing thing but your post was so stupid I had to respond. I am not sure why VikingSwede would even put his post on here except to get some sort of response from Leftwing treehugging granola eating hippie freaks like yourself from Canada. Your words were spoken like a true socialist. Our oil fields are not almost dry. We have a very large field in Alaska that we haven't even tapped yet. Sure there is some resistance to drill there but if we have to we will. Every peacenik like yourself said the same thing about us in 1991. "The United States only wants to take over the oil". Please show me the evidence of this. I have seen no benifit from us taking over any oil. The price of gas has steadily risen since then. Some will say that we just don't know it but we took over oil fields. I do think since every country is so jeolous of the United States that they would have reported this sort of thing. You said" Please educate yourself about the attrocities committed by the USA over the years in so many countries around the globe. "
Yes, we have done things around the world but nobody wants to talk about everyone we help. How much money do we send to starving people? How much humanitarian aid do we give?
For example, the Ukraine is the United States 4th largest recipient of our money. I think this is money well spent except I am not sure the money is getting to the people.
Just the other day we announced we were giving billions in food to Ethiopia. I don't want my money going there, but that is the sort of things we do. Ethiopia starves there poeple and were at war with Eritira for many years to take them over. Not everthing we do is bad. I am sure that most Canadian are against the war with Iraq. But what can you expect from a population that is mostly of french decent. They don't know how to go to war. All they can do is call us to save them.
Most average Americans are not against President Bush. Those people that are get on tv and make everyone think that the majority are against war. Simply not true.
As for him winning the Presidency illegaly. Please tell me how. Are you sure that you are from Canada. I think you may be Al Gore hiding out on this board.
I am sorry for this post everyone but I try to have respect for other counties until someone steps on my country. Then I have to say something. It won't happen again.

Exclamation Bush,Oil Fields, Americans etc

It’s a struggle,
Thank you for your response. I guess I AM tree-hugger, and a “peace-nik” .. kind of proud of that. I’m not really ‘left-wing’.. but rather liberal in my thinking. Yes, I eat Granola and other healthy foods, also I eat meat and junk food.
“I think it is you that needs to educate yourself.”
Thank you for the inspiration to educate myself.. I took some time to research the oil fields question, that is, the oil reserves of America.. I think you will find the information a little shocking and perhaps enlightening. I also did some research into the amount of foreign aid given by various countries around the world… Take a look for yourself:

The USA is the largest consumer of oil in the world. According to data published on the website of British Petroleum (http://www.bp.com/),[1] the USA consumes about 895.6 million tonnes of oil, which is about 25.5 per cent of global oil consumption. Domestic oil production in the USA in 2001 was about 351.7 million tonnes. Calculations show that at this rate of oil production, the oil reserves of the USA will be exhausted in about ten and a half year's time.

http://www.ncpa.org/iss/int/pd120401c.html
Polls have shown that Americans view foreign aid with suspicion -- with some convinced that sending their tax dollars abroad is a waste of resources. The result is that the share of the federal budget devoted to foreign aid has declined steadily since World War II.

But the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 have convinced a number of Washington politicians that the sums should be increased. A bipartisan Senate resolution introduced last month would triple the amount of money the U.S. sends overseas over the next five years.

 Since the late 1940s, the proportion of the federal budget devoted to foreign aid has declined from more than 15 percent to 0.72 percent this year.
 Top recipients of U.S. foreign aid in 2000 were Israel and Egypt -- at $4 billion and $2.1 billion, respectively.
 Other top beneficiaries include Colombia, the Palestinian West Bank/Gaza, Jordan, Russia, Bolivia, Ukraine, Kosovo and Peru.
 As a proportion of gross domestic product, Denmark leads in foreign aid spending at 1.06 percent, not including military assistance -- followed by the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Luxemburg, Belgium, Switzerland, France and the United Kingdom.
The United Nations would like to see countries give at least 0.70 percent of GDP -- the exact amount pledged by Luxemburg. Not including military assistance, the U.S. contributes 0.10 percent of GDP.

“I am sure that most Canadian are against the war with Iraq. But what can you expect from a population that is mostly of French descent”
You make me laugh. Check with ‘Statistics Canada’.. to see how many people are really of French descent. And we are very proud of our French Speaking Canadians.
.” They don't know how to go to war. All they can do is call us to save them. “
Oh sure… The Canadians were the ones who stopped the advance of Hitler… The Americans were the LAST so called freedom-loving people to join the war… and they only did this after they were attacked by Japan… otherwise they would never have come.
By the way, check out the war of 1812, when Canadians (both French and English) defeated the Americans.
