UKRAINE TO WAKE UP SEPTEMBER 16 AT ONE P.M

Kyiv city organization of the national association Fatherland, the Socialist, and the Communist Parties issued a statement about the timetable of September 16 nationwide action of civil disobedience named Rise Up, Ukraine! in Kyiv.

In particular, Kyiv organization of the Fatherland calimed to have attracted 100 thousand people to take part in the rallies. Fatherland's representatives plan to begin the march at about 13.00 from the Sofia Square through the streets Triokhsviatytelska, Sofiiska and Mykhilivska, via Independence Sq. and Khreshchatyk down to the European Sq..

Fatherland will picket the buildings of Cabinet of Ministers, Supreme Rada, presidential administration, Security Service, Inerior Ministry, Prosecutor General's office.

In the meantime, the Socialists will start the march at 14.00 from Kontraktova Sq. down the Sahaidachnyi Str., to European Sq., and Independence Sq.. They will also picket the buildings of Cabinet of Ministers, Supreme Rada, presidential administration, Security Service, Inerior Ministry, Prosecutor General's office.

Kyiv Communists announced that they are prepared to bring 20 thousand protesters. The CPU column will gather near the Arsenalna metro station. At 1 p.m. they will pass along Hrushevski Str. down to European Sq. to take part in the rally which is expected to last 3 to 4 p.m., and will picket the same adminisrative buildings along with other protestters.

The news came a day after Kyiv Mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko reminded that the city council had pronounced the main street Khreshchatyk and the Independence Sq. "to be historical and natural protection zone" that will be used only for conducting national holidays, like Independence Day, Victory Day, New Year's holidays, and Day of Kyiv and Yuth Day.

I appreciate your feelings

Although being more pessimist than optimist about Ukraine patriotism and democracy.
But I regret, that most people are still too passive to make any effort to remove Kuchma from his chair.

I regret, that Kuchma is quite unlikely those prime-ministers (man of honour) from former Imperial Russsia, who commited retirement from their post if a slight reason for that was found in eyes of public opinion.
The modern SOB will be defending his position up till the end.
