Yes I am A Tamil but of Ceylonese (Sri Lanka) orgin. The Indians are the third largest race in Malaysia and compromise of Tamils,Punjabis,Malayeles(Kerala) and Telegus(Andra Predesh).Unfourtanely I fall in the Category of others in Malaysia together with the Eurasians(DUTCH or PORTUGESE or British who once ruled Malaya and married the locals of that particular state.I wish someone could enlighten me on my following questions.Do a large number of Ukraine people ever visit Malaysia or South-East Asian countries and if its not why? Whats stopping you people? Is it because of any Govermental resitriction on either side? Or is there a lack of Govermental coperation to foster better diplomatic relationship at all levels between the countries?Or is the goverment of Malaysia making any restrictions or is the goverment of Malaysia cautious when it comes to dealing with your country? Though Our Prime Minister has initated the first move by is visit to Russia as well as meeting up with the Russian Counterparts (must be with the Ukraine Diplomatic Delegates also) there doesn't seem to be any reciprocal responce either from your country or mine in terms of bilateral trade or any Bussiness ventures or even in the sector of Tourism.Have you read anything in your local newspaper about any sort of ventures between Malaysia and Ukraine? Please enlighten me on this. Will appreciate it very much. From my knowledge as far as I know I don't think there is any sort of trading directly with Ukraine and probably it has to go through Russia. Is it possible now to trade directly with Ukraine or do we have to go through Moscow.OR is America imposing any restraint on you all trading with Malaysia. If I have offended you all by these questions I humbly apologise but sincerely I only wish to get some sincere answers and truly hope we could establish better diplomatic relationship between both countries.

I can't speak for diplomats but al I know is that Ukraine is a truly independent country thus going through Moscow is definetly not the case, though you may meet diplomats and trading people that do business there from Ukraine no dounbt.
Ukraine is a newly independent country that still finding it's feet in the international arena much like Malaysia twenty five years ago, dismatling the old sovietized economic appartus does take time and perhaps more time to change old ways , it requires a change of mentality and goverment initiatives.
Ukraine has been plagued since independence with financial difficulties and the Chernobyl inheritance.
Culturally speaking Ukranians are far from knowing Malaysia this may be unfortunate but lack of money imposes restrictions and they are conservative in their views
I would expect a rise in activity in Ukraine but it may be a while before it makes it felt in Malaysia.

Alternative Medicine In Ukraine

Thanks Ricardo for the short and precise answers to my questions.Does Alternative Medicine Like Ayurveda,Homopathy,TraditionalChinese Medicine or any form of Traditional Medicine or Herbal Therapy practised in your country?Or is it only Allopathic Medicine as the only source in the treatment of various Diseases or Illiness in your country. Here in Malaysia we have various forms of Alternative or complimentary Medicine and it has been very successful in the treatment of various diseases or illness. For example Ayurveda the five thousand year old traditional medicine from India has benefited many patients in their medical conditions symptomaticaly as well as being preventive and curative. However most of the Traditional or Herbal products is marketed through the Direct-Selling concept just like AMWAY.Is Direct-Selling allowed in your country? The sales of herbal products in Malaysia exceeds that of pharmecuticals drugs. How do Ukrainians feel about Herbal Therapy or Traditional Medicine?DO you all have your own Traditional form of Medicine?Actually its only now that we are implementing the recommendations of World Health Organisation that Traditional Medicine be incorporated into the primary Health care of that country. What about you all?

Smile Come to Malaysia

Any developments on your side in Ukraine to Trade with Malaysia following our Prime Minister's visit to Russia encouraging bi-lateral coperation with Eastern bloc countries and Malaysia? This should allow you Ukrainians to start investing in Malaysia as well as visiting our country Malaysia. We have all to gain and share.

Question To Ricardo.......Thanks

Nice to hear from you Ricardo.I visited your homepage but its just too hard for me to digest right now.You know what I mean . I will e-mail you someday, just feel a bit embrassed telling you here. Well who are these so called vodkaa beaurocrats you are talking about in Ukraine? You mean the "Mafias" or the ex-Soviet Generals or the Goverment itself. Why the aloofness or rather are they just cautious? Help me out here on why the people of Ukraine so conservative? I thought the Indians were the Conservative people but look at them today, they are in the extreme end trying to blend western culture with their ancient culture and getting confused in the way. I got some insight from Allaturca about the people of Ukraine but then won't stop me from pursuing further in really getting to know more about them and I need to know more from people like you. So "HELP ME GOD". (Is there going to be a long holiday in Ukraine? Some celebration througout even in Russia with regard to some independence or so). Rajkumar
