Does anyone know what the current average industrial wage is in U.S dollars in Ukraine ?. What is the Social Security rate for an unemployed adult and how long does this last. What is the retirement age and the pension rate ? Many thanks

Avg wage (industrial) is around 60-80 USD/mo.
Social benefit is around 4 $/mo ( for bread and milk)
Retirement women: 55
men: 60
Average pension is about 20 $/mo ( barely enough to buy
monthly bread and pay for an apartment). Is that funny?
My mother gets such pension after working 35 years as a
construction engeneer.

What's funny is that is a huge improvement over last year, thanks in part to the reforms of late last year, before Yushchenko was ousted in a no-confidence vote.

Look at what's happening with the energy sector. The World Bank is withholding a large loan payment ($100 million) because Kinakh is slow on energy reforms this year. Just brutal. Thank god energy prices have dropped... I hope Ukrainian consumers will see the savings.
