In Ukraine, a One-Building, Pro-Russia Realm
While only 4.7 percent of local residents want a separate Donetsk state, just over a third like to identify themselves as “citizens of Ukraine.” More prefer “Russian-speaking residents of Ukraine” or “residents of the Donets Basin,” according to a survey released Wednesday by the Donetsk Institute for Social Research and Political Analysis.

What is the Euro Maidan?
Euro Maidan is the name given to a popular movement which wants closer ties to Europe and membership to the EU, EuroMaidan is made up of many parties, institutions, organisations and members of the public who want to move away from Moscow.

Russia claims EuroMaidan are Paramilitary Nazi Terrorists is this true?
No it's not, completely false and such claims were made about Chechnyans and Georgians before both invasions there. The "armed" faction Russia refers to are actually surprisingly, veterans of the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, these people were used as Cannon fodder by the Soviet Union in its invasion of Afghanistan, Russias attempts to brand them as "Terrorists" is an attempt to deflect from the fact Russia only a year ago was praising these people for their role in the former war.

Was Yanukovych illegally ousted?
He was not, on the day before he fled the country Mr Yanukovych signed a power sharing agreement with his political opposition, then he fled the country, in light of the fact the president was unavailable to be found Ukraines parliament moved to impeach him, the impeachment vote passed with the majority parliament vote.

What makes the referendum vote in Crimea "illegal?"
The Ukrainian constitution already has in place a process for referendums, the constitution itself is based on one, that being the leaving of the USSR, a referendum must be initiated by parliament (Just like in Scotland) a referendum vote between two countries such as this must also have present legal observers from the United Nations (just as with Sudan, Falklands etc.), the observers from the UN were kept away at gunpoint and the only people present to declare the vote "fair" were observers from Moscow.

Moscow may be planning intervention in eastern Ukraine, US warns
John Kerry fears potential Crimea-style action after pro-Russian forces cement control of government building in Donetsk
The US issued a stark warning on Tuesday that Moscow could be orchestrating another Crimea-style intervention in eastern Ukraine, after pro-Russian forces cemented their control of a government building in the city of Donetsk and there were claims that in Lugansk protesters had taken up to 60 people hostage.
The US secretary of state, John Kerry, described recent developments in eastern Ukraine as "more than deeply disturbing" and repeated threats of western sanctions against Russia, which he said would be extended to the country's energy, banking and mining sectors.

More of the disturbances from the east

Separatist protesters in the eastern Ukrainian city of Slovyansk have taken over the city hall and the local Ukrainian secret service (SBU) headquarters after earlier taking control of a police station.

-- Disturbances have also been reported in other eastern Ukrainian towns of Krasny Lyman and Kramatorsk.
