Incident in Poland

[NORRYM]

Second in command of Ukraine Consular Department, O. Mashchenko, praised the Poland Human Rights ombudsman, A. Coll, for assuming personal control over the fatal shooting issue. The named ombudsman enjoys confidence of Ukraine MFA, for having, in the near past, raised objections to the observed negative treatment of Ukraine citizens by the Polish law enforcement agencies.

Mashchenko confirmed that todate, the effort by the Polish side is constructive.

The information is based on the article in February 7, 2001,UNIAN paper.
