Warning to football fans.

This article is in 'The Sun' newspaper this morning. The Sun is the biggest selling newspaper in the UK.
It may put English football fans off going to Ukraine for Euro 2012 and will certainly do no good for the countries reputation as you can see by some of the comments made by readers.

I think that any writer that signs in with such a stupid line as this,

"By NICK PARKER, Chief Foreign Correspondent, in the Ukraine. "

Shouldn't be taken seriously!

If those pics are real they are staged and the story is a put up job trying to do the same as the South American games. ( That didn't work either) Read the story on the right by,"Kris Karma".

BTW aren't you the same lady that was afraid of voilence at the May 9th Celebrations?

I only put the article up as it may be of interest to those people that do not live in the UK. If I'm honest, I have been to Ukraine and I didn't see any violence. The English hooligans are a different story, football fans with too much alcohol in their system fight all the time, they are a select few. Not all English football fans are like that.

Yes. I was concerned about violence on 9th May parade as I was shown a YouTube clip of some violence occurring in Ukraine on Victory day and I am due to be in Ukraine next victory day do wanted to get another opinion on the matter.

Things like this are blown wayyyy out of proportion just to sell the news..
I was in the middle of Independance Square for several days during The Orange Revolution. It was touted as being voilent before it began and there was nothing for voilence that I saw.

In case you missed it the authours tag line shows he's not 'up to speed" about things there. No one says 'the Ukraine'. Would you say the bcanada or the England? The France ect.?

If the English fans get carried away I'm sure they'll be carried away by the locals and the police. Don't sweat the May 9 celebration. It'll be impressive.

Thanks. I am looking forward to it and I thought the same thing about 'the Ukraine' but its the way most people say it in the UK that know no better.
