Is this the same prison someone stuck his head out of the window and told us to go away, or words to that effect? I just read that 7000 people were murdered in 1941 on the orders of Beria. Is that figure correct. Whatever the number it is difficult to comprehend. |

Yes exactly - this same prison where we were told to bugger off
I posted these pics specially for you! Do not know the total figures, but 4,000 were killed here during one day only - in June 1941 when Bolsheviks were preparing to retreat. |

About numbers - they are on official Memorial site:
"...23-28 June 1941 in Lviv were executed about 4000 people, including prison #1 (on Lontskoho st) - 1681 persons, ie 41% of all executed prisoners of the city..." http://upa.in.ua/book/?page_id=37
