Osama Bin Laden

Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden has been killed by US forces in Pakistan, President Barack Obama has said. Bin Laden was shot dead at a compound near Islamabad, in a ground operation that was based on US intelligence, the first lead for which emerged last August. Obama said US forces took possession of the body after "a firefight". He was at the top of the US' "most wanted" list. DNA tests later confirmed that Bin Laden was dead. US officials also added that Bin Laden was buried at sea after a Muslim funeral on board an aircraft carrier.

It should have happened 9 1/2 years earlier.

This is a good event. A bit disappointing since I was painted the image of him hiding in a cave fearing for his safety every day. Interestingly enough, the US knew about this locating practically the whole time, but they could not tell who, if anyone, was there.

It was touching to see Americans united near the White House (and other locations). Don't see that too often.

It was reported that bin laden had died three years prior of a long term medical ailment. The reported shooting was nothing more than a political stunt. Faked.
