There are three main points of view regarding to issue of Kuchmagate:
1)the USA tries to help Ukraine to get out of Kuchma. US used Melnichenko and now West hides him in one of Europe▓s country (or in another country, indifferently);
2) Melnichenko is a Ukraine▓s patriot. All that he says about his independence is true;
3) Ukraines▓oligarches (Surkis, Medvedchuk) make an attempt to put Kuchma out of the way.
I▓d like to believe that the truth is the second point of view. And I thought so. But some imperceptible oddities in Melnichenko▓s behaviors make to think that Melnichenko isn▓t an independent figure.
Touching the third version. I (from my branch) don▓t see the reasons that Surkis and Medvedchuk wanted to remove Kuchma. They know that Ushtshenko will be President (acting President) automaticly instead of Kuchma who▓s more convenient for them.
Future will give us an answer, but as clear as a day that Melnichenko didn▓t act on his own. So who▓s behind Melnichenko? It▓s a question┘

Who benefits most from Kuchma's removal?

Well. The question is not simple. Maybe Melnichenko▓s independent after all. One can▓t to think that only some money can be a reason of Kuchmagate. Then one can affirm that Miloshevich▓s overthrow is based on some money but not by people▓s command.
No, any criminal regime is thrown down sooner or later ┘ when people▓s patience is exhausted. Another side of problem is people themselves. I don▓t know if someone can see ⌠people▓s revolt ⌠Ukraine for Kuchma ■ against ⌠a sedition of opposition■. I see on TV a lot of students (they passe tests at these rallies in literal meaning), workers, doctors, teachers (they don▓t receive their salary but they came there for fear of losing their work)┘ There are simply convinced fools but such people are not many. Here▓s sad┘

It is possible that a wrong behavior of Kuchma led to the reaction of Melnichenko. The reaction of any honest person is to inform everybody about Ukraine▓s felonious regime.
So we have a coming-to-be of the Ukraine State. We learn to fight for our State. It▓s usefully very much for us.
PS Some time I went by bus and I heard over the air that Kuchma was elected (for the first time). Horror-struck I cried out: ⌠No!■. The surrounding people looked at me as if I was mad. The time showed that then I wasn▓t mad. Now? I don▓t know. May be┘

Pan Golovatiy couldn▓t stay the present situation no longer.
Pan Golovatiy is an Ex-Minister of Justice. So he said that he leave Ukraine because he▓s tired of these Kuchma, oligarchies etc.
It seems Golovatiy is tied not from the aforenamed persons but from a futility of his actions. People don▓t support the action properly.
It must be admitted that my people committed the mistake (how many times! Let▓s remember 1918). We again lost a lot of time stopping the action ⌠Ukraine without Kuchma■ during the New Year holiday. There was next slogan: ⌠People must quietly to celebrate!■. In other words: you are people, you▓ll be resting and we are special creatures who▓ll fight for your rights later.
Did Czechs cease their standing in front of TV center? Of course no. What feasts when democracy under threat!
Besides Melnichenko▓s bursting to go to Ukraine in order to testify in the court. What court? ⌠Sit in your place, - Golovatiy asks him, - you won▓t reach even a boarder of Ukraine■. ⌠ You are a repository of information■, - say Golovatiy. We▓ll see┘
So Golovatiy▓s tired. And what about Ukraine peoples which Golovatij▓s fighting for?

Do you really trust any of the mentioned politicians to do the right thing for the people of Ukraine? Too, contemplating the overall condition of Ukraine, can any leader do more than lift the morale of the citizens?

If any major reforms is to come it must be the work of the people as a whole bringing it to reality. As of right now the picture is pretty bleak.

I want to offer to you the fragments of the article of Tatiana Korobova, a remarkable Ukrainian journalist. Forgive my inaccurate translation (may be you▓ll say: ⌠A horrible translation■. I knew that you were not quite of full value √ in a commondemocratic comprehension, but I have believed that poultices, vaccinations by import medicines, courses of starvation with production of allergic reaction on noodles (lies √ I.) and the prophylaxis of spiritual AIDS will put you on your feet. And you, my native people, proved to be simply blind deaf mute. And you need another approach, more patience, feasible targets, and adequate methods. In short, it▓s easier to give birth you back.
I cry, country, because our politician scientists made a rough mistake proposing people will be horrified and divided (into the people which believe it and which don▓t believe) when they hear the criminal revelation of power which are not destined for publication. No! You are, country, were astonished nothing and you have agreed to live with the criminal power. Since the time of your great-grandparents you didn▓t know another power and you are sure that so it▓s right one. Giya Gongadze tried to wake you by all his life but he didn▓t wake you even by his monstrous death.
Country, I cry because I▓m ashamed of raising my eyes on Giya Gongadze▓s mother who is watching (through tears) the unsuccessful attempts of Parliament to vote even not for distrust General Prosecutor but for to have the right to listen to his report! They can▓t vote even for necessity to express their attitude to the information about ⌠Gongadze▓ case■. This case became a finale false accord of all cacophonous lies, and General Prosecutor is a root of this lie┘
Because however hard the civilized west may try to understand what is going here √ it▓s beyond west▓s powers. For a start they (west country -I.) should to knock at (on) the floor and to repent. Democratic Europe together with the very democratic States ⌠swallowed■ ⌠elections in the absence of elections■ of Kuchma-2. They give him their hand after the absolutely impudent falsification of Referendum. The today▓s events are only the consequences of the yesterday▓s hypocrisy. Foreign countries can▓t help us if we are representative of the country with dead souls.
I cry, country. Because we are in Moscow▓s hands - lock, stock, and barrel (with our plucks-I.).
Otherwise our ****ting up leader won▓t be able to survive politically. I▓m, truth, still trying to imagine the mode of their talking: their Putin haven▓t any political merits, to my misfortune, but he▓s an educated person, culture and he has not thirst for drinking. For example our Zizeron (eloquent-I.) says to Russian autocrat: ⌠We, and so, often, as they say, love to refer to American democracy, ****, so. And I▓m also for it. But I won▓t, so, remember this American, f-f-f democracy so much, so. I read that Russian democracy┘ as they say┘ In the E.U your delegation raised and go off √ all blue (our gay-I), red┘ And this Parliament Assemble didn▓t disappear┘.■. The Russian succession to the throne allowed his geographically European friend to catch his cold (as the water over ⌠Kursk■) look and answered: ⌠M-m, I understood that you are interested in increase a delivery of pipe to Russia. We know that you are interested personally (Kuchma▓s civile son-in-low is a pipe king in Ukraine-I) in this subject. We are also absolutely sure that our meeting with the German▓s Chancellor and your hope on our mediation in connection with a complexity of your position in Europe which is watching carefully, m-m, the development of audioscandal will speed up a realization of our last economic and politic agreements. And, m-m, is Ushtshenko still a Premier?■
⌠He▓s ┘ but for the present┘while ■-answers our pale Kuchma. Then he come home, calls prosecutor and blows into him: ⌠How long this ***** Yulia will insure this gouged reformer? **** her! Don▓t you know the methods of your work?┘ Call her, say her:■ What do you want, the ***** Yulia? Whore ┘■ There is a measure, *****, **** her┘And these Jews, **** them, demand to give back this small *****┘because they▓ll help me. They go to a person, help him and the person depends on them, tarts and whore. Come on.■
I haven▓t cried country. I liked so much this fantasy. Sweetly, truth? And the main thing: ten thousand people began to throng to defend Kuchma!
┘Unforgettable cadre: small hands with long blue nails press to their sexy contours a piece of plywood sheet. The face (assembly) of our guarantor is on this piece. Any doubt, the cute possessor of such tempting nails is very anxious about unshakeableness of constitutional system. ┘
┘ Live, as you like. Why will I cry? Look at Sergey Golovatiy: he spent a lot of forces to get the truth in this struggle with Kuchma-Potebenko▓s system. Then suddenly he saw: the people needn▓t it. They are ready to live under a band of criminals. The press (media) needn▓t it. It▓s adapter (adapting), it▓s cowardly more than people. Business-polit best specimens needn▓t it. I can understand this despair. I know how is hard to suppress cry, yell of soul, squeezing by two arms my own throat┘

This piece is nasty journalism that speaks to an even nastier situation. No doubt she has captured the true mind set of the Ukrainian people, laying nude their despair. In her words one can feel the profound hatred as it boils white hot. A country and a people are dying and there is nothing being done to prevent the tragedy. My opinion is that such writings can often serve evil more than good. It certainly will tend to harden the already concrete polarizations found in Ukraine. But despite its short-comings it is enlightening.
