Yushchenko sets new holiday to remember WW1 veterans

Ukrainian president deepens divisions with Russia with new holiday - RT

of course, Russians find this to be a slap in the face, but we should always remember those that fought for the safety of other Ukrainians

personally, rather than separate, we should have a unified veterans day, to remember all sides, put aside the political differences, and honor their bravery in who they were fighting for, not who they were fighting against

I have a bone to pick with this "holiday" ..... those "heroes" were the same "Czecho-Slovak Legion" when they sold Adm.Kolchak to the reds in Jan.1919. Legioners turned out to be the best allies for the reds is Siberia, don't forget that.

Ak you are going about this the wrong way. Don't presume others don't know about history. We all have different opinion based on what we have learned. Considering there would be very few people alive,if any, that took part in the original events there is very little chance of getting the whole story now. So take a hint, discuss it don't preach it.
