Ukrainian free enterprise is in awkward situation!
Ukrainian free enterprise is in awkward situation!
Hello! I am a private entrepreneur and I live in Ukraine. Like so many country fellows of mine I need to acknowledge that with Yushchenko and Timoshenko our life in this country became terrible! We simply fail to do business here because these two just don’t know how to rule the country! The only thing they are interested in is power, and money! So, the result of their political activities was just disastrous for my country! Last year gross domestic product of Ukraine reduced by 15,9 per cent! It is predicted in advance that this year the GDP will reduce by 14 per cent! In addition to that, during the time when Yushchenko and Timoshenko are in power, external debt of Ukraine became three times larger! What else can we expect from them? I fear to think about that but supposing that Timoshenko becomes president Ukraine will stop existing! |

Liar!!!
It's akward to me that within 3 - 4 years you change countries. You go from one president you hate (Georgia) to another (Ukraine). Why did you skip Russia, liar? You should have moved there. |

I think when one is considering economics. Blaming one or two polititions is not exactly fair to them. This would be very applicable to Ukraine. It is my understanding the Yushenko is pro west. If this is so ,he would be your best solution to the economic decline if it were not for Americas new President Obama who is anti business. Yushenko is limited by the worlds overall economic decline and the reduction in your GDP reflects this is true just as ours is reflective of our Presidents position. In order for the worlds economic improvement all countries and their leaders must resolve to stimulate jobs by offering incentives for large corporations to invest in the countries who wish to improve their living standards. This creates jobs for all common folks and then the currencies begin to flowfrom one to the other. As long as one is determined to spread the wealth, which is akin to a modern day robin hood ,then the worlds economyies will continue to falter even to the point of collapse, which may quite possibly happen. Ukraine has made great progress in opening up to the world which has generated an influx of dollars of many types to help in Ukraines growth. This process is what connects all countries economies.

Its not really because the Yuschenko was pro-west.
EU labor laws restrict amount of workers entering their area of influence. Also there is really no market right now in order to export finished goods. Ukraine's defence industry has to compete with Russian defence industry which by no offence is quite more advanced than Ukraines. The natural gas sector has great control under Russian corporations. I guess Ukraine attempted to create outside competition by creating a pipline from azerbaijan to georgia to Ukraine but since Russia is in Georgia I think that has halted. If Ukraine had oil it would be booming right now. It would be better to measure the gross national product because it measures all of its citizens within it boundaries and out of the country as well. Docc is speaking "with a forked tongue" as they used to say here. It's a polite way of saying he's not telling the truth. This is based on V-G checking his ISP and it's from Germany! Not Ukraine as he now claims..

Questions
Has anyone ever checked with proper equiptment to see into the ground if Ukarine does have oil deposits? Then too does Georgia have oil deposits? There is new technology that allows latteral drilling. It can be quite amazing. Start withing your borders and tap into deposits miles away. Just grasping at straws.

I dont know how well they are developed in drilling oil, i think they are trying to tap into more of the basin to extract more oil. Not sure though I think the pre-carpathian basin uses old soviet rigs to extract oil. There might be more in the black sea, but you have to have someone willing to explore the deposits first and see if it is stable for drilling. |
