President holds meeting on the status of investigation of Holodomor

President holds meeting on the status of investigation of criminal case of genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933

Quote:
President Victor Yushchenko held an interagency meeting on the status of investigation of criminal case of genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933.

Main subject for the meeting was the status of pre-trial investigation in the criminal case of genocide in Ukraine in 1932-1933 – the crime under Part 1, Article 442 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case was brought up by Chief Investigation Office of the Security Service of Ukraine on May 22, 2009 based on requests from state deputies of Ukraine, NGOs, and results of inspection conducted by the Security Service.

Currently 13,613 localities in 18 regions of Ukraine were found where inhabitants suffered from famine. The number of most affected villages is 11,922. There are 1847.5 thousand victims of the famine, with nearly half of their names included in the National Memory Book. Today 995 thousand victims of the tragedy still live with 85% or 850 thousand of them covered by various types of social assistance.

3577 mass burial sites of Holodomor victims have been found in Ukraine during the investigation. 857 such sites were discovered in 2668 settlements and 3124 of them were brought in order by state and local authorities.

Jews have their own tragedy in II World War, other have their apartheid and nobody hesitate to admit.. Why world society forbid us to have our own tragedy? It will not decrease the importance of their own...

Because "democratic" Europe is afraid of "democratic" Russia. It shows based of the Geogian war and previous gas conflicts.

Not to mention the fact that he put his own party as a link there. Yushchenko never did that. Thats not right, has nothing to do with president.

I wanted to make a backup of the site, but they changed it pretty fast, I was surprised.

Cool, I know it sounds weird, but I have an odd feeling that site will greatly change over the years, we will see.
