Obama won

Well i guess to most of the world it's no surprise that Obama won, but many of us freedom lovers still held out hope that he wouldn't. So now we have a our first partial African American socialist muslim associated president. Is there any room to come live in Ukraine? I don't think we'll be able to afford it here in America. We'd best get out while we can before the Black Panthers take over.

I was actually surprised to see McCain win so many states, but just barely in most cases. He just seemed to give up the past few months and rather than spend his campaign expounding on his good policies he continued to slam Obama and drive America into a hateful frenzy. That's dirty politics to me. A true president deserves to win based on his policies, experience, and past executive decisions, not because he drives everyone to hate his opponent.

Hello friends, I’m on the board again. Hope everyone is well.

We got discussion on Obama earlier and I was on who criticized him. However this campaign changed my opinion. Here in Ukraine we had only short report on events but it was possible to get complete information through American medias. Let’s admit Obama was much stronger during this campaign. I believe he won owing to mass disappointment in republican ideology. If the dog is dead, it’s dead, nothing to do. He could talk every rot but he would be elected…. mistakes of former administration built him wide road.

I guess Americans wanted to appear in democratic age and Obama is exit so he was bidden. He has obvious sign of revolution on. I wrote about it people wanted changes and Obama promised it… will he deliver? That’s other question.

Let’s don’t forget politicians are pretty as towels. They white when they are new. The more they are used the dirtier they become.

Did you forget about hysterical excitement around George Bush Junior or around Victor Yushchenko just when they were elected? And what has happened now after them being used?

Now Obama is white as a new towel but just give the time a chance.

Common guys give Obama a half of year and you will see what is real in this entire tale.

Your post is an oxymoron, you accuse McCain of this

Why should McCain be any different to the rest of America who thinks the way you do? I would prefer an honest politician who says what he believes, if that includes your "dirty politics" then so be it, at least we can vote for the person we see. McCain showed his true colours (pun intended) and America saw he was more interested in hate and fear than he was in good governance.

Hmm, apparently my reply to Max didn't get posted. Oh well. Basically i commended his response and honestly i forget what else i said.

Storm, i hold the president to higher standards than some noob forum poster like myself. While i think Obama is characteristic of the aforementioned traits, i would never run a presidential race by focusing on them. Mudslinging is better suited to backyard football whereas sportsmanship should be personified in the NFL. Get the analogy?

Good that Obama won but do not expect many changes
If going by past experiences the world did not enjoy much growth except during Clinton's period other than that forget Carter and Kennedy's eras.
So yet to see what Obama can do to justify his administration to undo what eight years of hawkish Republican headed by Bush have done especially foreign policy.

Outback, I wonder why you feel that you have the right to expect others to have higher standards than yourself. Shouldn't everyone be of the highest moral standard regardless of their situation on life?

I'm Australian, I do know what the NFL is, its just a game where guys have to pad up cause they are to wussy to play a real game. You analogy isn't really suitable in this context.

Cool nickname to mate, I love the Australian Outback.
