Bush policy with domestic oil

Bush has created a new policy with his term coming to a close he has increased drilling for domestic oil.

search for oil off the coast of Florida
Quest for oil, gas off Fla. begins - Environment - MSNBC.com

Also not too long ago, congress approved his idea of drilling in Alaska and also area along the colorado river.

What is next i wonder. Hmmm.....maybe more drilling off the coast of California. I guess more beaches will see oil rigs.

And we'll have enough cheap gas to drive to those beaches to see our glorious rigs instead of having to walk or just stay at home. The sad part is that the states whose coasts will be affected don't receive any monetary incentive. It all goes to the Federal coffers. Being in SC, it affects me somewhat.

I support the drilling.
I don't think that it will effect the beaches in any way, I might be wrong, explain.

No, its really just opinionated. You have to make a trade off. cheaper gas or beautiful scenery. unfortunantly i dont think it will bring cheaper gas but it will help keep the price stable. we need another refinery if we want cheaper gas. we have barrels and barrels of oil that has just been sitting there at refineries for years.

It may not be the solution and i support greener fuels but we still need to do it.

But it does not have to be in areas where scenery is ruined. Either way, you cant see much out of the beach. I don't think a gas float (or whatever they use) will ruin it. Personal opinion.
