WARNING:

Ukraine is an independant county and does not need "the" in it.

Ukraine or "the Ukraine"?

Welcome to the board, unigal.

Do you speak Ukrainian?

I suggest you contact one of the international law firms doing business in Kyiv. They may be able to help you.

I don't think you could work as a solicitor if you can't speak the language in which the applicable laws on which you are giving advice are written.

Law firms in Ukraine require you to know the local (Ukrainian) laws. Those laws are written in Ukrainian.

unigal,

What exactly do you hope to do?

Kathy did bring up a good point. Have you ever been in Ukraine? Do you plan to be more of an English speaking solicitor? Problem is, you would not even be able to translate.
