Ukrainians buy Polish automotive factory in Warsaw

This news sounds really optimistic given traditional thinking about centuries of troubled Polish-Ukrainian relations.
After many rounds of negotiations, Ukrainian automaker AvtoZAZ signs an agreement today in Warszawa with Polish automobile factory Daewoo-FSO.
Polish partner had quite bad luck. Factory was built in 1951 and its production lines were almost completely imported from Stalin's Soviet Union. First automobile was named WARSZAWA and it was a variety of Russian Pobyeda which in turn was made after the Chrysler.
Then, the plant have been successfuly producing Italian models of FIAT, namely Fiat 125p and Fiat 127.
Polish-Italian design named POLONEZ was already outdated when its production started in late seventies but it is still under production after many face-liftings.
Then, Korean automobile giant bought the plant but after a few promising years the hopes were dashed when the DEAWOO concern faced bankrupcy.
Ukrainian automaker can revert this bad luck.
The meaning of this economic fact transcends economy and maybe it marks real partnership no less than Polish support for the recent Ukrainian Orange Revolution.

Zbyszek, business is business.and Ukrainian businessmen are motivated by possible financial profits like businessmen from any other country ,not by desire of reconsiliation.
i know i keep repeating this all the time, but final reconsiliation between two nations will be possible when Ukrainian society face its past like Germans did, change its official historiography, school books and condemn activity of OUN and UPA during WWII and after.Ukrainians are heavily experienced nation but not the only one.they should finally understand that and admit that they weren't always saint and have their faults.
you can't talk all the time about how you love Poland and at the same time glorify UPA the way Yushchenko,Timoshenko and Greek catholic Huzar do.Many Poles including me are concerned about this double morality.
