I like to plan ahead because I have to organize my vacations around work and other obligations. Sightseeing sounds nice! If I am free to go, I will get in touch closer to summer.

Dear Duncan,

I tried to e-mail you but it always came back telling that Relaying is denied. HOpefully, you'll come here to read my reply.
The flat is still available and not long ago one British gentleman was
my tenant who has found me also through Ukraine.com forum. It would be a
good thing to continue this tradition. The flat is 15 minutes from the
centre with good transport connection to virtually all locations and a
few minutes from the sea. A set of shops, a market and restaurants are
within walking distance. I take pride in my flat because I renovated it
for myself and everything is done with the best quality. The thing I
need to mention a gas stove is not new yet because I plan to buy an
expensive wooden kitchen with built-in stove and oven and currently am
saving money for it. However, everything works well. All the rest is
brand new, including bed and flat screen TV.

I don't request my clients to send me any deposit. However, to ensure
they're coming I always ask them to scan and send their visa and ticket
to prove they do come. Then the flat is reserved. And, yes, I do know
other flats in different locations because I used to work in real estate
business. However, I can tell that all of them are more expensive,
probably because they are the only source of income for the landlords.
The British guy said that last time he came he found a flat through
Internet for 50$ per night.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
My telephones with codes are: 380 48 7153053 and 380 482 234751

Regards,
Irene

350 USD... its almost double of what I pay for my rent here in Vancouver, Canada. I am not trying to say that your price is unreasonable... I was just surprised, I guess you should be getting a lot of "new russian" type people, regular Ukrainian citizens don't make that much in three month .

Irene,

Thanks for your reply. I don't know what the problem is with my work email, but my home email is: duncan@insys.co.uk. I really wanted somewhere near the centre. However your flat sounds very good value and not having to send a deposit is a big plus as sending money to the Ukraine is a risk if I can't do it by credit card. I can scan my airline tickets, but I have a problem with the visa as I cannot get the visa until I have supplied proof of confirmed accommodation and I think also a 'letter of invitation' - Catch 22 ! If I book your appartment would you be able to send me a confirmation of booking and a letter of invitation that I can send to the Ukranian embassy with my visa application ?

Many thanks,
Duncan.
