Right now, I work in Western Poland, on a contractual basis, so I would like to take the opportunity to travel to Ukraine while I am in the region, as this is the last year of my contract. I have a question regarding the LDS books. I gather these are not accessible electronically but are on microfiche stored at LDS centers? Unfortunately there are none in Poland, so it will need to wait until I can get to a city that has a family center. Have you actually ever seen an actual record. I have a copy of my great-grandfather's baptism certifcate issued in Latin. Is this what I would expect to find if I looked at LDS records? If anyone has ever done this, I would like to hear from you about the experience.
