MIEDZYMORZE" TODAY? - THE GEOPOLITICS OF CENTRAL EUROPE

Many people, even those, who like the before-war idea of "Miedzymorze" (a federation or a block of countries between Baltic Sea, Black Sea and Adriatic Sea), thinks that this idea is not suitable for today. I agree that it is impossible just to "copy" this idea , which was good in a certain period. But I think that idea of "Miedzymorze" should be just "adapted" to present day reality. Something like "Miedzymorze" existed in different periods in different forms and not only as an idea but as a historical fact, too.
Great-Moravian state was something like that, then Polish-Hungarian-Ruthenian union, then Polish-Lithuanian union, especially in the times when Jagiellonian dynasty ruled on all Central-European thrones - Polish, Lithuanian, Hungarian and Czech. Finally the Austro-Hungarian monarchy became a kind of the beginning of "Miedzymorze".

So, which way the idea of "Miedzymorze" could be implemented in the present geopolitical situation? About international security - IMHO , at least during next 10-20 years NATO will be the main pillar of it. If we consider any Central-European security structure it might be only subsidiary for NATO. However, I think that an "emergency" structure besides NATO would be a good idea, because it could be dangerous to rely only on one structure. We learnt it even in the modern history. So, it would be good to establish bilateral agreements. A local multilateral treaty could be considered too, but it should be just subsidiary for NATO.

There is much more space for the idea of "Miedzymorze" in economic cooperation. "Miedzymorze" might be even an alternative for joining European Union. First of all, CEFTA (Central European Free Trade Agreement) should be developed and enlarged on Baltic states, Ukraine and maybe Belarus in future. CEFTA should be a typical free trade agreement, similar rather to NAFTA than to EU, without too much centralization and beaurocratisation. However CEFTA states should not be isolated from the EU. I would see a kind of chain of free trade - NAFTA-EU-CEFTA. It would be a kind of control of EU by NAFTA and CEFTA from two sides so it might stop EU protectionism.

But, maybe, because of some political reasons, it would be a best solution to join EU. In this case the idea of "Miedzymorze" might be useful too. It would be good to enter EU as an organized block (Wysehrad Group is a beginning of it) and negotiate conditions of the accession as a block of countries. And we should negotiate not only conditions of accession, but also the shape of EU. Nations, which recently have fought independence are reluctant to be deprived of sovereignty. In the issue, CE countries should cooperate with Scandinavian countries and Great Britain, maybe with Austria too.

So, although it is impossible just to "copy" the idea of "Miedzymorze", it could be partially adapted in present international politics.

CHRISTIAN CONFEDERACY OF INTERMARIUM
After discussions, meetings etc. now it is a time to orgaznize for people in Central-European Region, between Baltic and Black Sea. Our idea is to create a 'confederacy' gathering political parties, organizations and individuals in Centraleuropean countries. It should be based on following rules:

-Christian values (also in politics)

- real free market - in which average citizen has chance to compete

-cooperation of Centraleuropean countries with 100% respect of national independence.

WE SHOULD COOPERATE NOW! Our biggest enemies are:

-postcommunist forces

-freemasonic globalists

ACT INTERNATIONALLY so we must cooperate to have any chance with them. First we should promote economical cooperation - developing CEFTA, common stock exchange, construction of roads, pipes etc. We also must defend all of us against political attacks and dangerous demands. Especially now we should help Czech Republic to fight against German demands of cancelling Benes decrees. We should establish an organizational committee and create the organization in the end of this year.

We are waiting for any comments or proposals from You. Please, tell me, if You and Your friends want to participate in the project of Christian Confederacy of Intermarium. regards
