My grandparents are from the Ukraine. They taught us to enjoy many Ukrainian foods, like beet soup (borsch), bread and butter (hleep and masla), and sourkraut (kapoosta).

Now that they are no longer around, I wish I had learned to cook these items myself, as no one in our family keeps up with tradition anymore.
