Arkadi, Hello

Sorry to see you haven't had some very "positive" responses, SO FAR.

Can I give you a British perspective??

(I can see I'm going to get heavily criticised for saying this, however : ) I think some kind of 'Union' between Russia and Ukraine would be a good idea; but nothing like the USSR. Seriously!

Here in Britain we're having a HUGE debate about the E.U.
Some people think we should leave it, some people are un-decided and others (like me) think it has the POTENTIAL to be the best thing for Europe in 2,000 years.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm a citizen of the E.U. and my 'State' is England.
The "United States of Europe" IS s-l-o-w-l-y becomming a Nation - and I'm looking forward to it.
Ukrainian and Russian people are European too. I don't see why (in the future) both countries shouldn't 'join' us.

I know many Ukrainian people are concerned about the power of their big neighbour, but in the E.U. (just as in the U.S.A) no one State "dominates" others.

Almost everyone in Ukraine would like to have the same 'prosperity' as we do in Britain or Germany (BUT WITHOUT LOSING THEIR NATIONAL IDENTITY).

If anyone can suggest a better way of achieving this; I'd love to hear it ???

Russia & Ukraine in the E.U. ??? It might sound like an impossible dream; but remember the old saying:
Even the longest journey begins with a single step.

That's my view, anyhow.

Regards.

S.B.
