In what international companies are you interested in?
I am not a pro on the boiler market but considering you speak only English, specify of your work and global recession you should think hard on what to do first starting to do something. I hope the info, i will give you, helps you. So this is just i know and may be interesting for you.
Construction is stopped, those that is in process is served by big companies and using "otkat". "Otkat" means that you want to sell a car to a company where i am a CEO. I can buy this car cheaper but we agree that you will give me 1% from the price of the car so i, as the CEO, use the company's money and buy the expensive car for "otkat" - remuneration.
Gas, boiler and air conditioning installation does not require to have master of business association, does it? So what is a reason for me, CEO, to hire you and pay you more only because you speak English? How many spoken English customers in Kyiv do i have? I think not many. You cannot communicate with a client so there is no reason to hire your in stead of a guy from a rural area. Plus even if someone hires you, you will not be happy with your salary.
I think the best option for you (in this particular business) is to set up your own business. But again, you must know how you will get clients.
A case from life. My classmate worked for a company that installed video and audio alarm systems. He got not bad as for a student from a village but it was not enough for a decent life. He quitted and started to his own business. He did the same and got about 1000 USD per month. He sad me once that he would not be a hired employee ever again. Now because of the crisis his business is not so good as it was. But anyway he lives a decent life. His friend helps him in this hard time. He sells land plots and mansions. Rich people are still rich despite of crisis or whatever. So he promotes my friend as a good professional for installation of alarms in this buildings or land plots. But he way, if you come and are in need of clients you can contact me, i will contact my friend and maybe you will cooperate. I guess this is all the info that i can share with you.
