Thanks for the help ladies. I didn't know about the Hamburg passenger lists. It appears Kluwince may be Johann's and Mikolaj's ancestral village. Do you know where I can obtain GK records from here? Also, after reading Hanna's posts, I was wondering if they are Hutsuls, also. I think their father whose name is unreadable to me on Johann's manifest traveled back and forth to build. Would anyone have any clue as to why if there are 45,000 Hawryluks in the Ukraine, none seem to be in this area? I am also curious as to why they would have immigrated to the US verses Canada where a lot of other Hawryluks seem to be.
