#2 - Petro Sahajdachnyj (1570-1622) - incredible leader, hetman, defender of Ukraine against Turks and Russians; transformed Cossacks into an organized army. Sea battles by Cossacks were in full sway under him in the Black sea.
#3 - Battle of Konotop in June 29, 1659, where Ukrainian Cossacks under hetman Vyhovskyj and Tatar allies destroyed 30,000 Russian army;
#4 - Uprising of Khmelnyts'kyj and all the victories Ukrainians had in 1648-52 period (battles of Zhovti Vody, Pyliavtsi, Batoh, Zbarazh, L'viv) against Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth;
#5 - Kolijivshchyna - 1768, where Zaliznyak and Honta raised one of the biggest rebellions against magnates. They were suppressed by common Polish and Russian forces, but they forever left a mark in Ukrainian memory;
