The Great Famine-Genocide in Soviet Ukraine (Holodomor)
Why do Ukrainians and other groups of the soviet union blame Russians. Ive talked to a few Armenians and ukrainians and a Moldovan(there isnt a lot of people from eastern europe where i live.) and they also blame Russians for the soviet union and suppresion of culture. Why? simple. Control in the government and use of the russian language. Supreme control resided in the soviet socialist repulblic of Russia. IF you look at any of the Former Soviet Republics what do you notice? Each country has secondary schools taught in russian and a portion of the population knows russian or is a official language of their respective country.
