Dnipropetrovsk - Region of Conservation Areas, Noteworthy Sights and Industrial Significance

In being a significant industrial centre for Ukraine, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is a well known region in the country in regard to the economy. Its major cities, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk and Dniprodzerzhynsk, are hubs for various industries but even though the region is vital to the industrial sector of Ukraine, the region is home to breathtaking wonders and attractions for foreign visitors. With a moderate climate and large areas being dedicated to conservation, visitors are able to marvel at magnificent landscapes and wildlife such as fox, elk, wolf, wild boar and many of the other species found in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

The region also has a variety of noteworthy sites and activities for visitors to enjoy, but it is the fact that five of Ukraine’s Seven Wonders are located in this region, that attracts thousands of tourists each year. The historical and cultural sites nominated are the Church of Virgin Mary, the Tomb of Kosh Ataman Sirko, the Ukrainian defensive line walls, the Stone Divas and the Troitsk Cathedral.
