It's not actually possible for an english speaking tourist while in Lviv to go to city agencies right from the street to book a trip to castles of 'Golden Horseshore'...In some cases they do it, but price will be incredibly high. I was lucky, cause was advised a mobile number of a private english-speaking guide+driver in one person with its own car doing excursions in Lviv as well as in Western Ukrainian region. The guy speaks English perfect and told me quite a lot about castles histories. And price for the trip was quite good, I paid around 60 euros for the trip from Lviv to Olessky, Zolochivsky @ Pidgirci castles and back (220 km). if I were with friends It would even be much cheaper. The guide's mobile is (+38) 097-31-48-530, e-mail - ditchuk@hotmail.com. His name is Ostap. He does birdwatching and scenery trips as well. I really enjoyed my day out then...
