Beautiful Synevir Lake

If you believe the legends of the Synevir Lake, the lake was created by the thousands of tears shed by Syn when her love was murdered on the orders of her father thousands of moons ago. Sculptors, Mykhailo Sanych and Ivan Brodin, created a representation of the lovers, a red tree composition that was used by Yuriy Solomin to decorate the area surrounding the lake. Scientists, however, believe the lake was formed by an earthquake approximately ten thousand years ago that caused techtonic shifts in the landscape. No matter how the lake was formed, the fact remains that it is one of the most breathtaking sights in Ukraine.

Visiting Trukhaniv Island

The picturesque Trukhaniv Island was said to be the former summer residence of the daughter of Tugor-Khan, and began developing into a small town during the 1880s.
